Always difficult to describe yourself.
Anyway, don't ask me how, but my degree will be issued by Leeds Met.
When I first decided to start this course, I was a bit concerned... you see, I am an Italian, living in the UK. 34 years old (33 when I started), a mommy, a wife, a part-time barista, a friend, a daughter and a sister.
...But the thought of having to do for a living something that you you don't like, that you just do not enjoy, was really driving me mad.

Being all of that takes a lot of my energies.
Why adding one more thing... "a student"....?
...But the thought of having to do for a living something that you you don't like, that you just do not enjoy, was really driving me mad.
I could hear that voice inside that was telling me "go find your passion and make it happen".
So I gathered all my strength and I went for it.
Designing interior is one of my Passions, and I have all the intentions of leaving my mark on this world, attempting to make it a better place that I found it.
Why This Blog
Why This Blog
One of the requirements of many courses today is to keep a reflective journal. Something where you can jot down your feelings, your reactions to situations, to circumstances or to things in general.
I've never been very good at keeping journals.
When I was a kid I tried the secret diary -I would keep it with a lock- but inside, it was almost blank. I just wouldn't know what to write about.
For a time, though, when I became a Christian, I did keep a journal of my 'walk with God'.
I used to write down my meditation about some of my favorite Bible verses, or when I was desperate, I was writing down my cries, my prayers to God. It was a good practice and useful because when later I would go back and read of past struggles I could see God's faithfulness and that would encourage me to go on and trust Him again and again.
I don't remember exactly when I stopped to keep that sort of journal, but somehow that habit faded away.
Now I am asked to keep a journal for academic purposes and I can see the use of it -future reference and motivation, keeping track of what and how I am doing, making reminders of things to do, etc.... and given the choice I have decided to go for a blog.
So really, the intention behind this blog is to help me get a good mark at the end of this academic year, not to solve anyone's problems. But, that being said, I'll be very happy if any reader would find my posts beneficial at all.
Best Reflections,
